Gaeilge

A chara,

Ath-bhliain faoi mhaise daoibh go léir. Tá súil againn go bhfuil tú go maith agus i mbarr na sláinte. Beidh na daltaí uile ag filleadh ar an scoil ar an Déardaoin agus tá sé ríthábhachtach go dtuigeann gach dalta agus tuismitheoir na treoireacha a bhaineann le Covid-19.

Tá ár bplean freagartha Covid-19 ar fáil ar shuíomh gréasáin na scoile, nó tríd an nasc ANSEO.

Sula n-osclaítear an scoil, d’iarr an Roinn Oideachais ar gach scoil na rudaí seo a leanas a mheabhrú do thuismitheoirí:

Siomptóim COVID-19

Má tá aon siomptóim COVID-19 (coróinvíreas) ar do pháiste, coinnigh sa bhaile é nó í agus faigh tástáil le haghaidh COVID-19 dó nó di. Ná sheol chun na scoile iad. I measc na siomptóm is coitianta a bhaineann le COVID-19, tá:

  • fiabhras (teocht ard 38 céim Celsius nó os a chionn)
  • casacht thirim
  • tuirse
  • caillteanas nó athrú bolaidh nó blaiste
  • srón phlúchta
  • toinníteas (súil dhearg nó bhándearg)
  • scornach thinn
  • tinneas cinn
  • pian sna matáin nó sna hailt (tinneas agus pianta)
  • gríos craicinn
  • samhnas, urlacan nó buinneach
  • crithfhuacht nó meadhrán.

Fiú mura bhfuil ach siomptóim éadroma ar do pháiste, coinnigh sa bhaile é nó í agus cuir glao ar do dhochtúir teaghlaigh le comhairle a fháil.

Chun an t-eolas is déanaí maidir le Covid-19, comharthaí, treoirlínte agus srianta a fháil, tabhair cuairt ar shuíomh gréasáin an FSS: COVID-19 (coronavirus) - HSE.ie

Dlúth Teagmhálacha

Má chuireann an FSS in iúl duit gur dlúth-theagmháil do pháiste le cás Covid-19, ní mór dóibh cloí leis an gcomhairle ar shuíomh gréasáin FSS maidir le gluaiseachtaí srianta agus tástáil.

Ag teacht ar scoil

Ní féidir linn glacadh le daltaí ar suíomh na scoile roimh 8:10 ar maidin, toisc nach mbíonn maoirseoirí ann roimhe seo. Tosaíonn an mhaoirseacht ag 8:10 gach maidin.

Díghalrán agus ceirtíní

Molaimid go láidir go mbeadh paicéad ceirtíní ag do pháiste leo ar scoil gach lá. Tá díghalrán i ngach seomra sa scoil ach má tá a gcuid ceirtíní féin acu is féidir leo a gcuid deasc agus cathaoireacha a ghlanadh níos tapa agus níos éasca, gan treallamh a roinnt le daoine eile.

Clúdach aghaidhe

Ag leanúint treoracha ón Roinn Oideachais, ní mór do scoláirí ag an leibhéal iar-bhunscoile clúdach aghaidhe a chaitheamh i gceart agus iad ar scoil. Ciallaíonn sé seo go gcaithfear an srón agus an béal a chlúdach.

Bí cinnte, le do thoil, go bhfuil cúpla clúdach aghaidhe ag do pháiste agus bí cinnte go noireann sé dóibh. Caithfidh an clúdach aghaidhe an béal agus an srón a chlúdach.

Mura bhfuil daltaí ag caitheamh an clúdach aghaidhe i gceart, cuirfear abhaile é/í. Tá sé seo ar mhaithe le sábháilteacht phobal na scoile ar fad. Is féidir leat tuilleadh eolais faoi chlúdaigh aghaidhe a fháil ar ár suíomh gréasáin ANSEO.

Cuairteanna ó thuismitheoirí

Ní féidir le tuismitheoirí teacht isteach i bhfoirgneamh na scoile gan coinne. Beidh orthu glaoch a chur ar an oifig má tá siad ag iarraidh rud éigin a phiocadh suas nó a sheoladh isteach.

Meabhrúchán

Tá ár rialacha agus ár dtreoirlínte uile ar fáil ar shuíomh gréasáin na scoile ANSEO. Freisin, le do thoil, léigh na rialacha agus na meabhrúcháin a bhaineann le bainistiú Covid-19. Tá siad ar fáil ANSEO. Tá cóip den ionduchtú a chríochnaigh do pháiste i mí Lúnasa / Meán Fómhair ar fáil ANSEO.

Níl aon dabht ach go bhfuil tréimhse dúshláineach sna seachtainí amach romhainn, ach déanfaimid seacht ár ndícheall na dúshláin seo a chomhlíonadh.

Táimid ag tnúth le do pháiste a fheiceáil ar scoil maidin Dé Déardaoin.

Le meas,

An Coiste Covid-19

Dear Parent / Guardian,

Happy New Year to you all. We hope that you are well and in good health. As thankfully all of our students return to school on Thursday, it is imperative that students and parents understand the guidelines that we have in place to help manage the risk posed by Covid-19.

Our Covid-19 response plan is available for you to read on our school website, or by using the link HERE.

In advance of opening the school, all schools have been asked by the Department of Education to remind parents of the following:

Symptoms of Covid-19

If your child has any symptoms of COVID-19 (coronavirus), keep them at home and arrange for them to be tested for COVID-19. Do not send them to school.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 (coronavirus) are:

  • fever (high temperature - 38 degrees Celsius or above) - including having chills
  • dry cough
  • fatigue (tiredness)
  • loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
  • nasal congestion (runny or blocked nose)
  • conjunctivitis (also known as red eye or pink eye)
  • sore throat
  • headache
  • muscle or joint pain (aches and pains)
  • different types of skin rash
  • nausea or vomiting
  • diarrhoea
  • chills or dizziness

Your child may not have all of the symptoms or your child’s symptoms may be mild. Symptoms may vary for different age groups or different variants of the virus. Even if your child’s symptoms are mild, keep them at home and contact your family doctor.

For the most up-to-date information regarding Covid-19, symptoms, guidelines and restrictions, please visit the HSE website: COVID-19 (coronavirus) - HSE.ie

Close Contacts

If you have been told by the HSE that your child is a close contact of a case of Covid-19, they need to adhere to the advice on the HSE website in relation to restricted movements and testing. https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/covid19/contact-tracing/

Arriving at school

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide supervision before 8:10 each morning. As such students should not arrive on the school premises before this time. Supervision of students begins at 8:10.

Sanitizer and Wipes

We strongly recommend that each student has their own packet of sanitizer wipes with them each day. While we provide sanitizer in each classroom, it will be quicker and safer for students if they have their own wipes with which they can sanitize their desk and chair before and after use. This will allow them to avoid sharing cleaning equipment with other students.

Face coverings

Following instructions from the Department of Education, every student at post-primary level must wear a face covering when they are at school. Face coverings must be worn correctly at all times. This means that both the nose and mouth must be covered.

Please ensure that your child has multiple face coverings with them each day and that these face coverings fit your child correctly. Face coverings must cover both the mouth and nose.

If a student is not wearing their face covering correctly, they will be sent home. This is for the safety of the entire school community. More information of face coverings is available on our website, or by following the link HERE.

Visits from Parents

Parents are not permitted to enter the school building at any time without a prior appointment. If you need to visit the school, please ring the office from outside and the secretaries will arrange for you to drop off or collect what is necessary.

Reminders

All of our rules and guidelines are available on our school website HERE. We also ask that you re-read the rules and reminders which we sent out previously, a copy can be found HERE. A copy of the induction that your child completed in August/September is available HERE.

We do expect that the coming weeks will bring challenges, but we will endeavour to do our best to meet these challenges as best we can.

We look forward to seeing your child back at school on Thursday morning.

Le meas,

The Covid-19 Committee
