🐓🌿 Bhí lá den scoth ag daltaí Bliain 4 ar a tearmann foirne i gCausey Farm an tseachtain seo. Bhí sé i bhfad níos mó ná turas scoile – lá lán le ceangal, cairdeas, comhoibriú agus cuimhní a mhairfidh!
I measc na ngníomhaíochtaí a bhí ar siúl:
🐖 Cruinniú le hainmhithe feirme: eallaigh, muca, géanna, cearca, capaill Chonamara, gabhair & asal – agus sea, bhí gach rud “cearc go leor”!
🥁 Seisiún bodhráin: Bhí deis ag gach dalta staidéar a dhéanamh ar na rithimí traidisiúnta – jigs, polkas agus reels.
🍞 Bácáil arán sóide: Bhí arán blasta le n-ithe níos déanaí, le subh & im.
🌿 Léim sa bportach: Gáire & gliondar — cuimhní a thabharfaidh siad leo!
🎶 Céilí fuinniúil: Ag damhsa le chéile agus ag cruthú naisc níos láidre.
Ní raibh an lá seo díreach faoi spraoi amháin. Tá tacaíocht, obair le chéile agus forbairt phearsanta lárnach i mbliain na hidirbhliana, agus thug an lá seo an deis sin do gach duine.
Míle buíochas le Causey Farm as an fáilte chroíúil agus na heispéiris iontacha. Buíochas freisin le Oide Rachel, Oide Róisín, Oide Micheál, Oide Vinny agus an fhoireann ar fad a d’eagraigh & a threoraigh an lá.

🐓🌿 4th Year students enjoyed an unforgettable team-building retreat at Causey Farm this week. It was so much more than a school trip — it was a day full of friendship, teamwork, laughter and lasting memories!
Activities included:
🐖 Meeting the farm animals: cows, pigs, geese, hens, Connemara ponies, goats, and donkeys… and yes, there was “cearc go leor” (more than enough hens)! 😄
🥁 Bodhrán session: every student learned to play along with traditional rhythms like jigs, polkas, and reels.
🍞 Baking soda bread: delicious bread enjoyed later with butter, jam and refreshments.
🌿 Bog jumping: squeals of laughter and unforgettable moments.
🎶 A lively céilí: dancing, teamwork and togetherness.
While full of fun, this day also embodied the core values of Transition Year: supporting each other, working as a team and building strong friendships.
A huge thank you to Causey Farm for the warm welcome and wonderful experience, and to Oide Rachel, Oide Róisín, Oide Michael, Oide Vinny and all staff who helped make this day possible.
