Beidh staidéar stiúrtha ar siúl sa scoil idir seo agus Meitheamh 2022. Is fiú go mór an staidéar stiúrtha a dhéanamh ar na cúiseanna seo a leanas:
Tá sé níos éasca agus níos éifeachtaí do dhaltaí an obair bhaile agus staidéar a dhéanamh díreach i ndiaidh am scoile;
- Tá níos mó fuinneamh acu luath seachas déanach sa lá,
- Beidh a bord agus cathaoir féin acu,
- Beidh an seomra ciúin agus ní bheidh aon cur isteach
- Beidh múinteoir ag déanamh feitheoireacht ar an staidéar
De bharr gur áis breise é seo a chuireann an scoil ar fáil, tá táillí ag baint leis. Tá dúshlán breise againn i mbliana cloí le treoirlínte FSS chun scaipeadh an Víreas Covid a theorannú. Mar thoradh air sin chun freastal ar scaradh sóisialta beidh an cóimheas múinteoir-mac léinn níos ísle agus mar sin laghdófar an méid áiteanna atá ar fáil.

Beidh an staidéar stiúrtha ar siúl ó 3:30 i.n. go 5:30 i.n. (Luan – Déardaoin)
Beidh an staidéar stiúrtha ar siúl ó 1:15 i.n. go 3:15 i.n. (Aoine, Bliain 6 amháin)
Seo a leanas na rialacha a bhainfidh leis an staidéar stiúrtha;
- Cuirfear stampa i ndialann gach dalta ag tús an staidéar stiúrtha,
- Ní bheidh cead ag daltaí éisteacht le ceol ar aon earraí leictreonach i rith an staidéir stiúrtha
- Más gá don dalta an seisiúin a fhágáil luath caithfear fágáil ag am sosa ag 4:25in (Luan – Déardaoin)
- Má tá drochiompar i gceist le dalta, iarrfar ar an dalta sin an staidéar stiúrtha a fhágáil agus dul Pléifear an iompar an lá dár gcionn agus tógfar cinneadh maidir leis an dalta sin ag leanúint ar aghaidh san staidéar stiúrtha. Cuirfear tuismitheoirí ar an eolas má thagann seo chun cinn.

A Thuistí / Chaomhnóirí, a chairde,
Supervised study will take place in the school, for the next 16 weeks, between now and June 2022. It is highly recommended that students avail of this opportunity for the following reasons:
Doing homework and study immediately after school is definitely easier and more effective;
- Students have higher levels of energy at this time of the day rather than later
- Students have their own table and chair
- The room will be quiet with no interruptions
- A teacher will be supervising at all times.
The school must pay teachers to supervise therefore this service will cost money. Last year we had great difficulty balancing the cost of the service against the income. This year we have the added challenge of adhering to HSE guidelines to limit the spread of the Covid Virus. As a result to accommodate social distancing the teacher student ratio will be lower thus limiting the amount of places available.

We would be very grateful if you could bring the relevant amount for payment in on Friday 21st of January. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If you have any issues in relation to the payment of the fees please contact the principal.
The cost for the term is listed below:
Two days a week for 14weeks = €80
Three days a week for 14 weeks = €110
Four days a week for 14 weeks = €130
Five days a weeks for 14 weeks (6th years only) = €150
Supervised study will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Mon-Thurs)
Supervised study will take place from 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. (Friday, 6th years only)
The rules of supervised study are as follows;
- Each student will receive a stamp in their diary at the beginning of each session.
- Students will not be allowed to listen to music during the session on any phones or electronic devices
- If students wish to leave the session before the end they must do so at the break at 4.25pm (Monday to Thursday).
- If a student is disruptive or misbehaves he/she will be requested to leave and to go home. The behaviour of the student will be dealt with the following day and a decision will be made regarding the continuation of the student in supervised study. Parents will be informed at this stage.
